If you haven’t managed to complete the Census 2021 there is help available from the ONS website – https://census.gov.uk/ – or on 0800 141 2021. Local support is being offered by Solihull Library on 0121 704 6005.

West Midlands Police – Commonwealth Games Awareness and Impact Survey

Since 2018, West Midlands Police have been working on the security operation that will surround the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

The operation will be the largest in West Midlands Police’s history. The Games were introduced to bring people together from across the Commonwealth, we want to echo that approach to bring communities together from across the region to deliver a safe, secure and welcoming Birmingham 2022.

We have developed a questionnaire to understand your views so we can incorporate your thoughts and ideas into our plans.  Your feedback is important to us, so please take care when answering. This survey should take you approx. 5 minutes.

Virtual drop-in sessions to help residents over Census weekend.

A series of virtual drop-in sessions are taking place by the Solihull and Birmingham Census 2021 teams this week and on Census Day to answer questions and help anyone who needs support filling in their questionnaire.

Below are the times and sessions available in various languages. Along with online help, people can also call the phone helpline on 0800 141 2021 or find answers at www.census.gov.uk

Census 2021 is the first time that the household questionnaire will be a digital-first census, enabling households to fill it in their phone, tablet or computer. Paper copies can also be requested through the helpline or website.

General virtual census drop-in help sessions

Polish 

There will be a Census awareness and Q&A session in Polish broadcast on the Centrala Community Facebook site on Wednesday March 17 at 7pm – 8pm with Polish speaker Zuzka Hilton from Census 2021. 

Zuzka will be speaking about how the Census will make a difference to Polish people living in the Midlands.

Romanian and Eastern European event in English 

A Census awareness session and Q&A will be broadcast in English on the DOR – Romanian Diaspora Facebook page on Saturday March 20th from 11am  – Midday.

Translators in Romanian are available during the session and householders from other Eastern European countries are welcome to join the meeting as it is in English.

Alison Brinkworth from the Birmingham Census team will be speaking with Sorina Stallard from Romanian DOR group in a Q&A about how to complete the census and answer any concerns.
