Dickens Heath Housing Developments

Thank you to all those members of the community who attended the first in a series of Parish Council planning engagements. The presentation provided residents with an update on the four housing development proposals and more importantly areas to challenge based on unsustainable reasons. For those who were unable to attend but still wish to submit their objections (or support) please find attached the slide pack containing information on the Parish Council Response Wizard to support your submission. Your Parish Council needs you!

Thank you

Dickens Heath Fun Day

We are hosting Dickens Heath fun day on the 31st of August on the Village Green. We will be raising money for Acorns Children’s Hospice. The day will kick off at 10am with ‘Avengers Assemble’ where local children will be having some races around the Village Green.

The rest of the fun day will start at 12 noon, we’ll have food, drinks, face painting, bouncy castle and more.

We hope lots of our lovely residents will come and join us to make it a successful event for the very worthy charity which has done a lot to support a family in the village

Visitors to the Parish Council Meeting on the 10th July

At the Parish Council meeting on Wednesday the 10th of July we will have a number of visitors joining us.

We have Baillie Carlton from Solihull Council to talk to us about Dickens Heath Library.

Mark from Centrick will be coming to talk to us about the centre of Dickens Heath Village.

James Connolly from Solihull Council will be coming to talk to us about the possibility of a Car Club Pilot in the village.

It would be great to have as many residents as possible come to the beginning of the meeting (you don’t have to stay for the whole thing, we know the football is on ⚽) we’d love to hear your views on these items.

Hope to see you in the Library from 6.30pm on Wednesday.
