Road Safety Week
On Wednesday 22nd November as part of National Road Safety week in Solihull a number of partners took part in a multi-agency vehicle examination (MAVE). We ran the operation at the junction of the Stratford Road (A34) and Blackford Road, utilising Porcelanosa’s car park after they had agreed for us to use their car park and facilities to promote road safety.
The location was chosen to target offenders that use the arterial roads in to Solihull to commit crimes such as burglary, robbery and vehicle crime. These operations are not about ‘picking on innocent motorists’ they are about taking a partnership approach to tackle illegal road users and disrupting criminal activity.
